Polls show a close race between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, with Trump holding a modest edge as both candidates prepare for their important September 10 debate.
With the US presidential election only two months away, current polls show a close race between Republican contender and former President Donald Trump and Democratic candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris. According to a survey done by The New York Times and Siena College, Trump has a slim edge of 48 percent, one point ahead of Harris. However, when surveys are averaged across the country, Harris has edged ahead with 49 percent, giving her a 2-point advantage over Trump. The poll results emphasise the race’s competitive nature, as the contenders prepare for their first televised debate on September 10.
