Residents reported that Israeli soldiers continued to bombard Jabalia, the enclave’s main refugee camp, from the air and ground.
In a statement, Gaza’s Hamas-run interior ministry encouraged Palestinians not to relocate within the enclave’s northern parts and to avoid moving south “where the occupation is conducting continued bombing and killing every day in the areas it claims to be safe”. The Israeli military said it had been fighting against Hamas members who were utilizing civilian facilities, and that explicit evacuation instructions had been provided in recent days to places including the Kamal Adwan Hospital. It said an evacuation convoy carrying patients from the hospital to Gaza City arrived on Saturday with fuel for the facility. In recent days, the military has reported that forces operations in Jabalia and neighbouring regions killed scores of militants and found weapons.
