At least 32 more Palestinians have been killed in unrelenting Israeli bombardment in the Gaza Strip, increasing the total death toll since October 2023 to 46,537, the Health Ministry in the enclave announced on Saturday. According to a ministry statement, around 109,571 others were hurt in the current assault. “Israeli forces killed 32 people and injured 193 others in five massacres of families in the last 48 hours,” according to the ministry. “Many people are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them,” according to the report. The Health Ministry announced in its Saturday update that 499 additional Palestinians, whose names were documented and validated by the ministry’s appropriate committee, have been added to the overall death toll, raising the total to 47537
Israel has continued its murderous attack on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, despite a UN Security Council resolution asking for an immediate cease-fire. The second year of genocide in Gaza has sparked increased international outrage, with politicians and institutions describing the attacks and blockade of assistance deliveries as a premeditated attempt to destroy a population. In November 2024, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel is now facing a genocide complaint at the International Court of Justice for its murderous war in Gaza.
