Reno Omokri, a former presidential communications adviser, uploaded a flashback video of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan accusing him of sexual harassment. This comes only a few days after the Kogi senator leveled a similar charge against Senate President Godswill Akpabio. Omokri posted the video to his Facebook page on Saturday, March 8, 2025. The senator shot the video on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, while running for the Kogi state governorship seat with the Social Democratic Party. Akpoti-Uduaghan stated that on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, Omokri flirted with her during a state banquet hosted by President Goodluck Jonathan for Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta.

In the video, Akpoti-Uduaghan challenged Omokri’s allegation that he was not in the country on the dates she specified. She also urged the Nigerian Immigration Service to investigate Omokri’s assertion that he was not in the country at the time. However, in response, Omokri stated that President Jonathan dispatched him to the United States as a special envoy to try to clean up Nigeria’s image following the Chibok girls tragedy. “I was not in Nigeria during the period when Natasha Akpoti accused me. So she clearly lied.
