Details of Trump’s medical exam to be released ‘as soon as we possibly can’: White House

The White House promised on Friday to provide a full update on Donald Trump’s health after the oldest president in US history got his annual medical test earlier in the day. “I have never felt better, but nevertheless, these things must be done!” Trump tweeted on his Truth Social platform prior to the inspection, which took place at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

While it was unclear how long physicians evaluated the 78-year-old president, the Guardian claimed Friday that he spent more than five hours at the medical center before boarding Air Force One to fly to Florida for the weekend.

But White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt promised more details would be forthcoming.

“I can confirm the president is in very good shape,” Leavitt told reporters Friday, adding that Trump was not sedated. She promised to make a “readout from the White House physician” available “as soon as we possibly can.” Despite Trump and his friends continuing to criticize former President Joe Biden’s physical and mental health, the Guardian noted that Trump has consistently “kept basic facts about his own health shrouded in secrecy, shying away from traditional presidential transparency on medical issues.”

“If history is any indication, his latest physical is likely to produce a flattering report that’s scarce on details,” the publication added.
