Ajuri Ngelale, President Bola Tinubu’s Special Advisor on Media and Publicity, has resigned from his position effective immediately. Ngelale informed President Femi Gbajabiamila in a memo that he intended to take an indefinite leave of absence, according to a statement released by the Presidency on Saturday. Ngelale continued by saying that he has resigned from his positions as Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen and Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action. Ngelale claims that he left his position to take care of health issues that are currently affecting his immediate family.
The statement said, “I am taking an indefinite leave of absence to address medical issues that are currently affecting my immediate nuclear family. I sent a memo to the President’s Chief of Staff on Friday.” “This agonising decision, which involves pausing my roles as the President’s Official Spokesperson, Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action, and Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen, was made after extensive family consultations over the past few days as a vexatious medical situation has worsened at home. I fully appreciate that the ship of state waits for no man.” I’m excited to start my full-time national service career again.
Eagerly anticipate going back to full-time national duty when circumstances, recovery, and time allow. I humbly need some privacy for myself and my family at this time.
