Charleston Battery’s MD Myers shows again why he is one of USL’s most dangerous scorers

Two days before the Charleston Battery’s season opening, attacker Mathew Dylan “MD” Myers twisted his knee during a routine drill in practice. Myers realized right away that his season debut would have to wait a few weeks. “It’s so frustrating because you work so hard in the offseason to prepare for the season, and then you get a knock,” said Myers, who scored 17 goals for the Battery last year. “You have to recover mentally, go through treatment, and basically start anew. The most difficult part was seeing the boys play while being unable to participate. With each missed match, you become more determined to get out there and score some goals.”
