The Green Bay Packers have previously competed in the Super Bowl. Green Bay has made five Super Bowl appearances and won four of them, making them one of the most successful franchises in the NFL during that time.
However, Green Bay has never hosted the Super Bowl. That is exactly what one previous legend said.
On Twitter, former Green Bay wide receiver answered the following question: Do you believe the NFL would ever allow GB to host a Super Bowl due to chilly weather?
The NFL Draft will be held in Green Bay, which is a positive step forward. There is a lot that goes into hosting the Super Bowl. Hosting the team and providing them with high-quality indoor practice facilities is only one example. The NFL considers a variety of variables when deciding where to hold the Super Bowl, including the stadium itself, local drinking restrictions, and adjacent entertainment opportunities. To host the Super Bowl, you must fulfill the following requirements:
Market that has an NFL club. The minimum seating capacity is 70,000. The average gameday temperature is at least 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Dome (for stadiums that do not match the prior requirement). Practice area of comparable quality for both teams. Hotel accommodations account for 35% of stadium capacity and include areas for gameday and NFL experiences.
If the NFL ever wanted to host the Super Bowl in a northern city like Green Bay, Minneapolis, Buffalo, or any other frigid city, they’d have to breach certain laws. Super Bowl LX will take place on February 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, home of the San Francisco 49ers. Super Bowl LXI: February 14, 2027 – SoFi Stadium (Inglewood, CA), home of the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers. Super Bowl LXII: 2028 in Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta, GA), home of the Atlanta Falcons.
