Manchester United has confirmed that their Premier League home game against Nottingham Forest will go ahead tonight, despite nationwide interruptions caused by Storm Darragh. Local authorities are constantly consulted regarding the event. The Merseyside derby scheduled for this evening at Goodison Park between Everton and Liverpool was postponed due to severe winds gusting up to 70 mph. However, United’s statement confirmed: “Today’s Premier League fixture at Old Trafford between Manchester United and Nottingham Forest is scheduled to go ahead as planned.” The club will continue to communicate with the appropriate authorities throughout the day and will notify supporters quickly if anything changes.
