Manchester United star Kobbie Mainoo’s future at Old Trafford is uncertain, with the club ready to sell him for the appropriate price.
Mainoo, ranked sixth on FourFourTwo’s list of the most interesting adolescents to watch this season, emerged as a bright spot amid Manchester United’s disappointing season last year. The 19-year-old scored in the FA Cup final and was named to England’s Euro 2024 squad, where he played against Spain. Over a year ago, FourFourTwo reported that Manchester City, of all clubs, was tracking Mainoo, despite the fact that the wonderkid had not to start a game or sign his most recent contract at the time. It remains to be seen whether City are still interested; nevertheless, given recent struggles in their own midfield, they will undoubtedly covet a player of Mainoo’s profile.
