In a recent dream, an Arsenal player was sent off in a unique way. During the game, one of the ball-boys ran onto the pitch to compete for a header by the touchline, while Kai Havertz kicked the ball and booted the pitch invader in the back. The ball-boy dived like Michael Owen, wailing, and the referee gave Havertz a red card.
According to TNT Sports Brazil, Gabriel Martinelli has suffered an injury today. It reads (capitalize theirs): EXCLUSIVE! MARTINELLI ARRIVES AT THE HOTEL, ACCOMPANIED BY THE NATIONAL TEAM DOCTOR, FOLLOWING A EXAM! Following training on Sunday, the striker felt soreness in his tendon and left to seek an examination. At first glance, it does not appear serious, but the player is waiting for the results. Not very detailed, but further investigation shows a calf issue, and he is a doubt for Brazil’s game against Peru in the early hours of Wednesday morning. With Bukayo Saka probably out of play against Bournemouth this weekend, it would be a blow if Martinelli was also out. Untimely, too, given that he had recovered some form in the final.
First Havertz is sent off for kicking a ballboy, then this. Let’s only hope it’s nothing catastrophic, but the Interlulls haven’t been kind to us this season, and with one more coming up next month, we can only hope there aren’t any more problems. Declan Rice played for England against Finland last night, and they won 3-1. He was also on the scoresheet, putting it away smartly at the near post following superb work from Ollie Watkins. He also makes up a lot of ground, as he is not even in shot when the Villa player picks up the ball on the halfway line, so good on him for finding that energy in the 84th minute. Now,
Tonight, Belgium hosts France, with William Saliba and Leandro Trossard facing off, while Riccardo Calafiori is expected to play for Italy. The remaining few players involved, including the Gabriels for Brazil, play tomorrow, but we’ll wait for an update from Martinelli in the meanwhile. Aside from that, there’s not much going on right now, but we do have a brand new Arsecast Extra for you below, so enjoy if you haven’t already. Bye for now.
