NEW YORK— The NHL’s Department of Player Safety confirmed Sunday that Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid will face a disciplinary hearing for a cross-check to Vancouver Canucks winger Conor Garland’s head. Tyler Myers, a Canucks defenseman, will also face a hearing for cross-checking Edmonton’s Evan Bouchard. The league stated that the dates and times of the hearings have yet to be determined. Both incidents occurred Saturday night during a melee at the end of the Canucks’ 3-2 victory over Edmonton in Vancouver.
