Jabbar also travelled to New Orleans at least twice, in October and November, officials said. According to authorities, during his initial visit, he rode a bicycle around the city’s French Quarter, where the attack occurred, while recording the scene with Meta smart glasses. Myrthil claimed Jabbar wore the glasses but did not turn them on during the New Year’s Day attack, which killed 14 people and injured 35 others.
