Israeli raids and strikes killed at least ten Palestinians in multiple towns in the north of the occupied West Bank, according to a Red Crescent spokesperson on Wednesday. Two Palestinians were killed in Jenin, four in an adjacent village, and four more in a refugee camp outside Tubas, according to Red Crescent spokesperson Ahmed Jibril. He stated that 15 others had been injured. The Israeli army announced early Wednesday that it is conducting a “operation to thwart terrorism in Jenin and Tulkarm” in the northern West Bank.

The operation comes two days after Israel claimed to have carried out an air strike in the West Bank, which the Palestinian Authority said killed five people. Violence in the West Bank has increased alongside the conflict in Gaza, with more than 640 Palestinians murdered by Israeli troops and settlers since Hamas’ October 7 offensive, according to an AFP count based on Palestinian health ministry numbers. At least 19 Israelis were slain in Palestinian attacks during the same period, according to Israeli officials.
