The family of missing identical twin sisters who vanished in Aberdeen nearly four days ago is “extremely concerned,” as police expand their hunt for the pair. Eliza and Henrietta Huszti, two of a set of triplets, were last spotted on CCTV on Market Street near Victoria Bridge about 2.12am on Tuesday, January 7. The 32-year-olds, originally from Hungary, crossed the bridge and went right onto a pathway near to the River Dee, headed towards the Aberdeen Boat Club. Police said the search for the pair, which includes the police helicopter, dog branch, marine unit, and emergency service partners, is still ongoing.

The River Dee search has now been extended to the coast, including the Port of Aberdeen’s South Harbour and the direction of Duthie Park. Officers are coordinating with authorities in Hungary, where Eliza and Henrietta are from, to assist families while searches continue. CCTV footage from the area where Eliza and Henrietta were last seen is also being investigated, with door-to-door investigations taking place.

Police said the River Dee remains the focus of searches because there is no evidence of the missing women leaving the immediate region. Eliza and Henrietta are characterized as white and thin, with long brown hair.

Chief Inspector Darren Bruce said: “Eliza and Henrietta’s families are naturally concerned about them, and we are working diligently to locate them. “We are deeply worried about them and have allocated significant resources to the investigation. “We once again urge the public to come forward with any information about Eliza and Henrietta’s whereabouts. “The River Dee remains the focus of our search, and I’d want to ask again: if you were in the area at the time, did you spot anyone who matched their description?

“Even if it does not appear to be substantial, please share any information and let us decide. “I would like to remind businesses in and around the South Esplanade and Menzies Road areas to review their CCTV footage from early Tuesday morning, January 7, 2025, and contact us if it contains any information that may be helpful to our inquiry. “We’d also like to hear from anyone with dashcam footage from that period. “Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident number 0735 of Tuesday, January 7, 2025.”
