Hamas calls for massive presence at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Ramadan

Shadid further stated that Palestinians should not accept the Israeli regime’s limits and instead insist on their historical and religious rights in relation to this mosque, according to the Palestinian Shehab news agency. All citizens of al-Quds city, the 1948 occupied lands, and the West Bank who have access to the mosque must safeguard it, he stated. The Hamas official went on to say that the limits imposed by the invaders and their illegal settlement schemes cannot cut off the connection between the sacred mosque and its rightful owners; rather, such efforts will reinforce Palestinians’ commitment to safeguard the site and oppose Judaization ambitions.

According to the Anadolu news agency, Israeli state television KAN claimed that the regime intends to station 3,000 military officers at checkpoints leading to the Al-Aqsa Mosque during Ramadan to prevent newly released Palestinian detainees from approaching the area surrounding the holy site. The Israeli administration has a long history of restricting Palestinians’ access to mosques, including during Ramadan, which has sparked opposition from the oppressed people
