Brighton striker Evan Ferguson reportedly wants to quit the club in January because he is dissatisfied with his lack of playing time and wants to play frequently somewhere. Ferguson made his Premier League debut at the age of 18, scoring five goals in his first six outings. However, in the two years following then, he has only made ten more direct contributions to goals in the top flight.

He is currently not even starting for Brighton, having made only one Premier League appearance this season. According to Football Insider, Ferguson intends to depart the club in January. According to reports, the 20-year-old is dissatisfied with his lack of playing time, since fellow strikers Georginio Rutter, Joao Pedro, and Danny Welbeck all play more regularly and score more than Ferguson.

The Irish international is expected to move in pursuit of regular first-team play in the New Year. Ferguson was seen as a £100 million asset. TEAMtalk stated at the end of 2023 that Brighton were aiming for a fee of more than £100 million to sell Ferguson. Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea were reportedly linked at the time. However, given his lack of minutes and form, it appears unlikely that the Seagulls will receive such a fee.

As do any of the clubs that would offer Ferguson regular football if he signed, with any of them now expressing interest. Brighton roundup: Seagulls are under threat Brighton are apparently under threat from Tottenham, who are rumoured to be contemplating a raid for Tariq Lamptey, with Pedro Porro’s future uncertain due to interest from big teams such as Real Madrid. West Ham is also reported to be interested.

Meanwhile, TEAMtalk recently reported that Sweden left-back Daniel Svensson was considered for a move to Brighton or Brentford before joining a big-six club, with some tracking him. Content continues below.

Brighton is also interested in one of its own players, Facundo Buonanotte, who is presently on loan at Leicester and has piqued the curiosity of Spurs, among others.
