Keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was blamed for Paris Saint-Germain’s convincing 2-0 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night. Kai Havertz scored Arsenal’s first goal before stand-in captain Bukayo Saka extended the hosts’ lead with 10 minutes of the first half remaining.
Donnarumma appeared to struggle with balls in his box, failing to receive Leandro Trossard’s cross before the first goal and enabling Saka’s free-kick to float all the way through the area and into the far corner. Nasri, a former Arsenal and France midfielder who now works as a pundit, told Canal+Gianluigi Donnarumma, that’s his weakness, the aerial game.
We see that in the replays of what he did tonight and how he reacted to the first goal. What about the second goal? I blame him, too. I believe it’s his fault. Okay, no one touches it, but the free kick isn’t taken hard. Recommended
