Chelsea has received booing for a defender they are apparently interested in signing in the near future, with a club source confirming they are likely to sell. As we approach the approaching January transfer window, Chelsea is still linked with several players. I don’t expect Chelsea to accomplish much in the winter transfer window, although I can see them trying to sign a new centre back.

They might also look at the left back position, and it’s worth noting that the guy in question can play as both a left back and a centre back. Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool are reportedly interested in Ajax defender Jorrel Hato. It appears that he will soon become available as well, with Ajax sources unsure of their ability to keep the kid. “I’m afraid that next summer, we will lose him,” a senior Ajax source allegedly told The Athletic

Hato has previously been linked to Arsenal by The Athletic, and journalist Graeme Bailey has previously reported on Liverpool’s interest in him.

Chelsea are also reportedly interested in Hato, according to TEAMtalk. The 18-year-old is a highly touted rising talent, which fits Chelsea’s recent recruitment plan. Furthermore, his ability to play in a variety of positions would appeal to Enzo Maresca and the team. But we’ll have to wait and see if there’s anything significant in this, or if it’s just another half-hearted link with Chelsea’s name tossed in.
